# Entry relations

> See what an entry is linked to, and add or remove links by hand.

The **Relations** tab lists the relations defined on the card, one collapsible group each, with the number of linked entries in the heading.

**Relations** narrows the view to a single relation, and **Expand sections** / **Collapse sections** folds them all at once. A card with no relations shows an empty state instead.

<Info>
  The relations themselves — which cards they connect, their display names, their ordering — are defined on the card. See [Card relations](/guides/studio/cards/card-relations).
</Info>

Selecting a linked entry opens it, so you can walk from a variant to its SKUs and back.

## Add a relation

<Steps>
  <Step title="Press New relation on the group you want to extend">
    A panel opens listing the entries of the card on the other end of that relation.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the entries">
    Search by entry name. Entries that are already linked are marked as such and cannot be picked twice.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select and add">
    **Select** marks an entry; the button counts what you picked. Adding queues the change.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  A newly added relation stays pending until the change is processed. Pending entries appear in the group but cannot be deleted or reordered yet.
</Warning>

## Remove a relation

**Delete relation** on a linked entry asks for confirmation and then queues the removal. It unlinks the two entries — it does not delete the entry on the other end.

## Reorder linked entries

The drag handle on a linked entry only works when the relation has a sorting property configured on the card. Without one, the handle is disabled and the order comes from the data. This order is what a destination publishes, so it matters for things like image galleries.
