# Select entries

> Tick entries in the list to build a fixed segment, add them to an existing one, or export just those entries.

Every tile carries a checkbox. Tick one and a panel appears above the list with the actions that work on a selection.

The panel counts what you picked and offers three actions. The cross on the left clears the whole selection.

<Info>
  Filtering and searching do not touch the selection, so you can pick entries from one filtered result and then change the filters to find more. Switching card clears it.

## Create fixed segment

Opens the segment creation form with the card filled in and your selected entries as the segment's content, at the **Segment details** step. A fixed segment holds exactly the ids you picked — it does not re-evaluate as data changes, unlike a query segment.

## Add to fixed segment

Adds the selected entries to a fixed segment that already exists.

The dropdown only lists **fixed** segments built on the same card, so you cannot mix entries from two different cards into one segment. Entries already in the target segment are not duplicated — the two lists are merged.

## Export entries

Exports only the selected entries, with the same dialog described in [Export entries](/guides/studio/catalog/export-entries). Opening **Export entries** from the toolbar menu instead exports the whole current result, filters included.
