The Used by tab of an entry lists everything that consumes it: the destination versions that publish it and the segments that contain it. The Used by tab Use Search by name and the Type filter to narrow a long list. An entry that nothing consumes shows an empty state instead of the table.
The left panel of the entry carries a shorter version of the same information — Used by Destinations — visible from every tab, so you can see the publishing impact while editing values.
